Rotator Cuff Injury
What is a Rotator Cuff Injury and how can we help you?
A rotator injury is a tear in the group of four tendons and muscles that keep your shoulder stable and allow you to lift and rotate your shoulder. It can be minor and not need surgery, but there some do need surgery to repair the extensive damage done to the muscles and tendons and repair mobility in that arm and shoulder.
Causes and Risk Factors
Rotator cuff injuries are mainly caused by overuse, or bursitis, which is in inflammation of the sac between the tendons and the bone. People who are over the age of 40, those who have jobs that require repetitive lifting, and athletes who use their arms to show a lot of their power and strength are at risk of getting an injury to their rotator cuff.
