Yoga Informed Therapy (YIT)

Discover the holistic benefits of Yoga Informed Therapy (YIT), an innovative approach to wellness crafted by Jen. YIT transcends traditional yoga postures, integrating the ancient wisdom of yoga with contemporary psychotherapeutic techniques. This program is tailored to suit individual needs, ranging from stress management and emotional regulation to physical health improvement.

Jen’s YIT employs a combination of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), nurse-client therapeutic relationships, and yoga philosophy. Designed for all ages, YIT addresses a broad spectrum of health challenges, offering a path to holistic healing and self-discovery under the guidance of a compassionate and skilled therapist.

Why Yoga and Psychotherapy?

Jen, over the years, began to feel disconnected from herself as she tried to balance a demanding corporate healthcare role with a young family, continual learning, and advancing her whole self through self-care and awareness. This challenge was intensified by the life-changing surgical menopause she underwent at the age of 32 due to endometriosis. The stress, anxiety, compassion fatigue, menopause, and exhaustion eventually became overwhelming. She found herself being someone for everyone else, but not for herself. Her body and spirit sent warnings that change was needed, but her mind struggled to acknowledge this, leading to illness.

During this period of reflection, Jen realized that her values, priorities, and dreams were not aligned with her current state. She understood that to be the best version of herself for her loved ones, especially her daughters, healing and reconnection to herself were essential.

Jen had practiced yoga for many years and experienced its benefits. She decided to integrate yoga into her daily life without any strict schedule, duration, or specific style. She allowed her body to guide her through her yoga practices. Through this daily routine, Jen began to notice changes; her body, mind, and spirit started to realign, helping her find a sense of balance and well-being.

Program Highlights:
● Discover yourself, values, and beliefs
● Enhance awareness of self through identification of emotions and/or body sensation (body-mind)
● Understand the physical, mental, and emotional body
● Learn the “WISE MIND”
● Learn yoga postures and tools to help support balanced health
● Personalized program plan
● Weekly, Bi-weekly, or Monthly 1hr session
● Virtual or In-Person
● Ages 10 yrs and older
● $100 dollars per session (tax included) OR $480 for the program (tax included and based on 6 sessions)
